Prepare for an exceptional adventure

How do you plan and pack for The Gettysburg Leadership Experience? Here’s what you need to know.

Consider the setting and the season.

Gettysburg is a small town—population 7700—in south central Pennsylvania. While it’s well served by major highways, travel time from area airports should be considered as you make plans. Whichever route you decide to take, you’re in for some beautiful scenery.

A team made up of skilled historians leading your journey

The Gettysburg Leadership Experience is offered year-round with daily outdoor sessions, so factor in likely weather conditions for the season you’ll be here. Reception and dinner dress is business casual—no jacket necessary. We’ve prepared the following checklist for your convenience and comfort. And do remember to pack an open mind!

Still unsure? Contact us and we'll address your questions right away.

Bringing the family?

Gettysburg is a great place for a getaway. In addition to storied historical sites and museums, the area is rich with festivals and fun-day destinations. Savor the food, sample the cider…and expect to feel warmly welcomed.

Locate Gettysburg

Located 2 hours from here, 3 hours from there, the route you take will depend on the scenery you want to see or the time you have to get to your destination.

FCC Services has been actively monitoring and assessing the developing COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. On March 15, 2020, the CDC recommended that for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the U.S.

With this guidance, and the health and safety of our employees, clients and speakers as our top priority, we will be suspending all programs through the end of May. We will reassess June programs once we get closer. Our desire is to reschedule programs in 2020 where possible.

The impacted events include:

  • Gettysburg Leadership Experience Open Enrollment, April 28-30
  • Gettysburg Leadership Experience Open Enrollment, May 12-14
  • Gettysburg Leadership Experience Retreat & Resilience, May 19-21

If you reserved a hotel room through the reservation link or phone number of the hotel provided by FCC Services for one of the above-listed programs, we are notifying the hotel to cancel your hotel room. If you made your reservation through other methods (i.e., discount hotel sites, etc.) you will need to contact the hotel directly and cancel your room reservation. We recommend, when doing so, you obtain a cancellation number to confirm the room is cancelled and that your credit card will not be charged.

Wishing you all good health and resilience in the days to come.
